I hate to admit that I remember that, but I was at the age of freshly discovering European tabloids when Caroline was about to dump that French actor she fled to after her husband's death (so still in her 30s). In pre-photoshop days. She was really caught by surprise on a beach, had clear scars, maybe even no hair and looked way rough. Looked liked re-juvenated all around. That was long before the pee prince she then married.

I think Charlotte looks just like her mother. Both are beautiful, IMHO

i don't know about scars but she did have alopecia at one point and went bald - probably caused by stress after the death of her husband.

I read that her hair started falling out in 1996 when Ernst went back to his wife Chantal for a time. I think Stefano died around 1990.

Charlotte is gorgeous but that's not the best picture of her. Caroline was pretty when she was younger, but she always had a bit of a masculine jaw. Charlotte is a softer version of her.

i think you're right. i couldn't remember when it was.

i also agree charlotte is a 'softer' version of caroline - i think that's why i think she's less beautiful. more 'cute' but less striking than her mother was, and she's got a little trumpet nose which i don't like and big lips but kind of shapeless, caroline had a better mouth.

I think Charlotte is (or was) much prettier because she had some of her father's looks which her brothers also had. Caroline's look was always a bit harsh and so was Stephanie's. If anything, Albert had the softest look because he took after his mother!

I don't care for her look on this cover at all. She looks harsh.

yeah and he looks like a shapeless little dough boy. i love strong features like caroline's. on stephanie they don't work but caroline had one of the best faces of her time. charlotte's nose and mouth imo make her more 'cute' than beautiful. her father had a much better nose. i don't know where she got her little piggy snout from, certainly not from either of her parents.
it's also a personal bias - i have a thing against tiny upturned noses, i just don't find them attractive.

Don't get me wrong. I love strong features too, even quirky.

I think Charlotte looked great full on but I agree the profile shots aren't very elegant. Possibly she has already had a nose job. She doesn't need another though.
