Why do the editors of all the mags feel the need to photoshop to death all of their cover models. When did it stop being all right to be normal looking with normal body porportions (sp??))

I have this issue and the first thing I thought of when I saw her on the cover was Ally McBeal. Sandra has that mousy look on the cover, she doesn't really look like herself to me. The inside pictures look more like Sandra.
