Nicole kidman needs to learn from this woman that one doesnt need to be botoxed to death to still achieve age defying beauty.

You know, when I look at an aging beauty, like Meryl or Lauren Bacall, I can't help but see her youthful beauty in her as well. You look at this face and remember how beautiful she was years ago. Somehow she keeps it, even if she's not as beautiful any more.

As opposed to say Nicole or the highly fixed up faces of Hollywood, its like when they had the surgery done, they sold the rights to their former beauty?

Does anyone know what I mean?

I'd hardly call Nicole an "aging beauty." She's what, 40? Now if you want to talk about Victoria Principal or Mary Tyler Moore or Cher, well that would be a different story.

I've never thought of it that way before but you're so right.

Meryl looks really beautiful and comfortable in her skin but I can't believe she's not had anything done. That's a very firm jawline for a 60 year old.

I'm pretty sure I've read Meryl has had small nips and tucks gradually over the years, so that she has never suddenly looked weirdly altered.

Yes, that neck and jawline do look very very firm for a woman of 60. I think she's had help.

yeah but there's a difference between tasteful, subtle work and botox and facelift overload. IMO there's nothing wrong with getting a little help. you just have to do it in moderation and not desperately try to look younger.
meryl may have had help but her face moves, her eyes are full of expression and she doesn't look like a waxy clown with permanently arched brows.

^^Not putting her down for it all. She's done it the right way. She looks fantastically fresh for her age and not overdone like Faye Dunaway for example.

Every role I've seen her in has ruined her for me. I know its dumb to judge on characters, but I can't find her likeable.

How can you say that. Sophie's Choice was one of the most riveting performances any actress has ever given. I will assume you've never seen it or you wouldn't say that.

Also not to forget The French Lieutenant's Woman. She was ephemeral, windswept, haunted in love.

The woman can act AND she's beautiful too. Doesn't happen often in Hollywood.
