^ Yes they are old, you can tell because it's pre-plastic surgery; her nose was MUCH larger than it is now.

^ Her nose looks much better in these pics than it does nowadays. I'm still not completely convinced it's plastic surgery though, a lot of people have a larger looking nose as a teenager.

^On the contrary, our noses appear larger as we get older. The "baby fat in the nose" thing is a fallacy, created by Hollywood. I like Natalie...but she's had a nose job. Nobody in Hollywood has their real nose. Not even SJP.

I also find that some noses do thin our as we get older..

It's not a baby fat thing. I think because all facial features don't grow at the same pace, the nose often looks larger in teenagers. When the rest of the facial features catch up with the nose, it seems as if it gets smaller. I've seen this happen with a lot of people who definitely haven't had a nose job. But yes, it's also true that nose grows in the older age.

Marti I do agree with you about the facial features growing during the teenage years and adulthood, so it's possible for our noses to look smaller later on.

Yes I agree with Marti. I think Natalie's face looks a lot longer/narrower in these pics. Nowadays her face is wider and I think that would make her nose look smaller too.

Anyway, she's a beauty.

Your nose does not get smaller-looking with age, it gets larger-looking and more pronounced.

I love Natalie, but she most definitely had a nose job.

Well, I couldn't care less if she had a nose job or not, but I was looking at pics of my students when they were in junior high, and most of them had bigger noses... I mean, they grew into their faces later...

Thing is, Natalie Portman was not of junior high age when the pics were taken...

This is true thanks to the thymus gland. It shrinks with age while your nose and ears get bigger. Hasn't anyone noticed that a lot of old people have huge noses. If you look at pictures from their young to mid adulthood, most of their noses were much more refined.

Natalie has definitely had a nosejob. Her nose is much too small and refined now to support the "her nose thinned out naturally with age" stance. Face it - Much of Hollywood has had some form of plastic surgery and rhinoplasty seems to be at the top of the list for the starlets.
