She's got an unusual face, she isn't conventionally pretty, and has harsh features. But they work on her, and she's charming. I've seen her in person, though, and she's MUCH prettier in person.

she isn't photogenic..her features do look really harsh and horsey in photographs, esp closeups.
I wouldn't be surprised if she was way prettier in person.

Definitely not photogenic, but she has a ton of charm and charisma. Not being a viewer of SATC, I never understood the fuss about her until I chanced upon one of her interviews and heard her speak. She totally won me over in under ten minutes. <3
