Lovely picture. And now a story.
Probably the same year or thereabouts, I was at a Marc Jacobs spring show. My friends and I were allowed backstage, we mingled with the models getting dressed and made up. So much fun. There was tiny Kate amongst the amazons...Cindy, Naomi, Linda, Karen Mulder, Kristen McMenamy (if you remember her, tall gal, totally nuts), Stephanie Seymour.
Kate was on her cell phone, before she got dressed, pacing, pacing, chain smoking, dirty hair, with champagne in her hand. She's having an argument on the phone and looked like a loon. A while later, in walks Johnny wearing like a 50 gallon, enormous black leather hat, unwashed, skinny, adorable. They embrace. Then they fought. It was time for the show, Johnny sat in front, slumped in the chair. Talk about before and after, because Kate looked as fresh as spring air on the runway.

^^ I wish you could have seen the size of his hat. It was like a cartoon character with a big cowboy hat. He was mighty dirty. That cocaine chic/dirty look was very in then.
Did you know that you and Glamazon would leave tire tracks on each other getting to Johnny?
