Strange how Japanese geisha are being played by
Chinese actresses.

I think she's a good actress, but I can't believe they couldn't find a single good actress who was JAPANESE to play the part!!

does it really matter? J.Lo played Selena, a Mexican, when she is in fact Puerto Rican. CZJ played a Mexican when she is in fact Welsh. Jamie-Lynn Discala plays an Italian when she is in fact (half) Mexican. Al Pacino played a Cuban and as we all know he is Italian. And Jessica Alba's race is so ambiguous that she has played nearly everything under the sun. Penelope Cruz has played nearly every hispanic race.

wow, they are both so frickin' beautiful, esp. gong li. i absolutely LOVE their kimonos, too. oddly, i just admire them and am not jealous, although i'da gladly switched spots with zhang in "house of flying daggers!!"
