I am so sick of modern starlets trying to channel Audrey and Marilyn. I get that they want to be iconic, I just really wish they'd try to do it on their own, in their own way. If they haven't got it in them, trying to sponge off old icons won't help anyway.

We have a WINNAH! Seriously, what worked for Marilyn and Audrey
in their time, with their audiences, will not work today in this society.
We live by different rules, different notions of what we are, different
dating customs...different everything. They need to quit trying to
be "the next Marilyn" and try being who they are.

Meh. It just looks to me like an homage to Audrey Hepburn. *shrug* And if it weren't for young starlets trying to emulate Audrey, et. al., Audrey. et. al.'s iconic status would be nil. It's because of pictures like these (and Britney Spears and Madonna and Anna Nicole Smith) that we are reminded of how great Audrey, and Marilyn and Kim and Jane etc. were.
