Do readers of Rolling Stone want to read about Taylor Swift?

Anyway the cover is 'arresting' but the last pic is pretentious and reminds me of something Nicole Kidman, Goop etc would do.

So, the photo editors at Rolling Stone sat around a table and went "How can we make Taylor Swift look even whiter?"

I think my brain would probably go numb reading an interview with Taylor Swift.

lol rolling stone hasn't been a rock magazine in a very long time. a quick google tells me this past year they've featured shawn mendes, travis scott, zoe kravitz and harry styles on the cover.

    A vogue move.
I don’t like when eyebrows are asymmetrical. How can someone not notice that?

Rolling Stone has never been a rock magazine. You're thinking of the band of something. I remember the Jackson five and the carpenters and country singers on the covers way back in the 70s.

But that was thought to be ironic back in the day. Now they really mean it.

All print magazines (the worst example is Vogue) are struggling to survive.

This is from Wiki about Rolling Stone.
It was first known for its musical coverage of rock music and for political reporting by Hunter S. Thompson. In the 1990s, the magazine broadened and shifted its focus to a younger readership interested in youth-oriented television shows, film actors, and popular music.[2]*It has returned to its traditional mix of content, including music, entertainment, and politics.

I love her earrings in the second picture, otherwise this looks more like something Elle or Cosmo would put out.

I like the photos except the one that's so over-exposed it looks like she doesn't have a nose. They're very late 80s pop.

Rolling Stone has had its fair share of actors, politicians, and even terrorists on the cover. I'm hard pressed to remember the last time I saw a physical copy of Rolling Stone so I can't really get up in arms about who graces its cover. But I'm not offended by Taylor's existence either, so...I dunno.
