Default Time's Person of the Year 2017

Time has named the #MeToo movement, or “the silence breakers,” as their Person of the Year for 2017. The #MeToo movement is a social media movement that shows just how many people have been the victim of sexual misconduct.

I didn’t read the article, but it seems like Ronan Farrow should be front and center here.

Taylor Swift, but not Rose McGoven? Mh, Taylor did sue the asshole groping her and won, but still, Rowan should have been there, too.
Couldn't time get them fr a photo session?

If I could photoshop I'd add Rose to that cover.

It looks like a double cover ... there's someone's arm on the right. I think it opens up and reveals more women. But I'm still flummoxed about why Taylor Swift is on the front cover. Did she speak up about anyone? I don't recall her doing so.

I really think Ronan Farrow got this rolling. Other people may have tried and failed, but he actually got it done (and beautifully written, I might add), named names and was unapologetic. His name and family notoriety may have played a part it getting this to print in a major newspaper/magazine, but I'm okay with him using that to put such a powerful and horrific story to light. He's written a couple of companion pieces to the main article and he's very articulate and explains things very well.

I don't think it's a double cover - I saw the Time people interviewed and they said it represented the women who remain anonymous.

I don't mind Swift on the cover although I haven't really thought about her case since all the Weinstein et al accusers have come forward. I would have liked to see a man included in the picture though, maybe Terry Crews or the Spacey accuser (can't think of his name)

Rose and Terry Crews are in the article. Taylor did come forward and though I'm no fan of hers she took that shit to court like a boss so I don't mind her being on the cover at all.

I don't mind Swift being on the cover. Not only did she only sue that idiot DJ for a dollar, just to make a point, but she helped Kesha as well.

^^Kesha should be on the cover too. So can we make our own with Rose, Kesha, and Ronan?

Swifty's testimony during the trial was one of the highlights of 2017 for me (in terms of media stories). That alone earns her spot on the cover for me.

I think Kesha is not allowed to talk about her case so I think that might be why she isn't on the cover.
