Yes - they are pretty - yes they are attractive...yes their bodies are terrific....but I CANNOT STAND THAT "BUTT OUT" POSE. Oh and just noticed they are topless...Ok get it - mens magazine.

Or I am getting old and stupid poses just rile up my menopausal juices.

I enjoy perusing this issue as much as the next red-blooded straight male, but I always wonder what is in it for the swimsuit/bikini companies. Half the time, the top of the bikini (or the whole bikini) is lying in a heap on the ground next to the model. It's like the dumbest product placement ever.

At least they didn't put Kate Upton and her saggy tits on the cover.

This is the first I have seen the cover. I went for weeks think Richard Simmons was on the cover because a friend sent me an email with a mock up of it. I was like, "Well, I guess good for Sports Illustrated." LOL. I think I preferred Richard on the cover instead of pancake flat ass, still no ass, and get outta here ass.

Uh, Lord. That Chrissy girl is so unattractive. Her face is just bad.

My 8 year old daughter loves, loves, loves Sports Illustrated. She has a big pile of them on her desk and knows what every one of them contains. Some news anchor flashed the cover of the swimsuit issue on TV the other day and she stared at it with shock and disgust. She turned to me and asked, "Why would they put bare butts on the cover instead of an athlete?" Damn good question.

Seriously, I've never understood why what is meant to be a serious sporting publication turns itself into a soft porn magazine once a year.

I work at a bookstore and for the second year in a row some asshole/bitch places some Feminist magazine in-front of all of the issues of the Swimsuit edition .
I really don't care that your delicate sensibilities are offend by a person boobs or ass or you think this is a crime against the woman movement , making a mess intentionally in a store makes me want to bitch slap someone .

And the question about why they publish every year seems rhetorical , it get them a ton of press and it's their best selling issue , same reason Vogue has the huge September issue

Exactly. And ESPN Magazine has followed suit by having the "body issue" every year where athletes pose naked throughout the magazine. These issues sell.
