Women were permitted to have hips and thighs in those days, how times have changed.

Very interesting...and what would be even more interesting would be to see how many people brand these women "fat".

They are by NO means fat. I'm not saying all skinny women are unhealthy or anorexic, but these women are healthy and average. AND HAPPY.

This is the natural, curvy female form that nature intended. What we're exposed to and expected to emulate is certainly not natural. This just makes me sad. Kind of makes you wish you lived in an earlier era. Though, back then, women were considered over the hill at 30.

^If you reread my statement I said it would be interesting to see how many people considered them fat. I wasn't saying they were fat but some people in our world are shallow and severely distorted enough to think they are!

Oh I know you weren't stating that they were I was just commenting on how absurd it is that we both know people see them as so. Sorry!

Fat has taken on such a broad meaning these days. I've seen people call others as little as 10 lbs over their ideal weight considered fat. Of course, it's always women who are the object of ridicule. Who can even see an extra 10 lbs of fat on the average guy?

Really? Were there really corsets built into the swimsuits? Didn't know that. Most of them have nice curvy legs and thighs. I like it, they look healthy.

They look fab. Much better than the lollypop look.
