Default Two "not sexist" men discuss why women "just aren't funny"

I love it when something is blatantly misogynist and sexist, but the men behind it just say, "Don't take this too seriously, especially if you're a woman." The "sexist thing" I'm talking about is a video that features two Australian guys discussing whether or not women are funny, or rather, just that women aren't funny. The ringleader of the video claims over and over again that he's not sexist, and that it's not sexist to say that women aren't funny. The other guy on the video calls him sexist over and over again, and you can see on his face that he knows they're going to get an obscene amount of angry comments. They did, and they've now added a massively long disclaimer:
"If you are offended by this video then I apologise, that was not the intention. If you took this video seriously then don't, it was never meant to illustrate a serious debate about women. If you enjoyed this video then thanks, clearly you understand that this video was not meant as a serious commentary and should not have been taken literally..."

It just goes on and on and on and on and on. Look, I don't think this guy is a malicious jerk. I do think, however, that he's a lot more sexist that he realizes. Plus, I also don't think he understands that when you make statements like "women aren't funny", especially on a site like YouTube, you're going to get a lot of reactions, and not all of them will be good. Saying that you're not sexist, and that if we're offended by this video that we just don't "get it or understand" what you're saying doesn't make your views and video any less shit. Or sexist.

They airbrushed the hell out of Kathy Griffin on this cover, it doesn't even look like her.

These guys obviously aren't familiar with a woman named Sarah Silverman.

Sarah Silverman?? Even though her show isn't great I don't think she's totally "unfunny" (her characters are hilarious on Crank Yankers) I can think of way better examples of women who'd make these guys eat their words.

There is no man alive funnier than Lisa Lampanelli.

And Juno, a very funny movie, was written by a woman. What have they accomplished?

sarah silverman's not a good example but there are loads of funny women out there: tina fey, lily tomlin, tracy ullman, french and saunders, just to name a few.

Sarah Silverman's comedy is a bit mean-spirited, but she's funnier than a lot of male comedians who come to mind. I like Amy Poeler and Amy Sedaris.

i'm all for mean-spirited, i just don't find her particularly funny. i agree that she's less obnoxious than jerks like jimmy kimmel (why is he famous?) but that's not saying much.
amy sedaris is funny. i love her brother too.

I find that most women comedians aren't that funny. I have to agree with him.

^^I don't think being funny has anything at all to do with genitalia. It has to do with a different organ -- the brain.

^ I don't know what it has to do with, I just said women aren't as funny to ME. It's my opinion, sorry.

I think there are tons of funny women, some are famous, and some I know in my personal life.

Way to keep up these old sterotypes.

You've come a long way baby...

Most comedy I've seen lately revolves around funny experiences and odd thoughts on everyday occurances. Most men can't relate to our sense of humour, because they still do very little of what we do on a daily basis. We can relate to their humour because we do all the stuff they do...without a penis.
