About nine months ago, I was walking down Carmine St. leaving a bar I hadn't visited in a year. I was walking with a girl I had just met, when I looked up at a church we were passing. This church had these amazing chalk drawings of the Virgin Mary and child, and when I looked at the church, there was sitting the best looking man on EARTH. I did a double take (Possibly triple take). I made it to the end of the block, worked up my nerve and went back and told him that he was beautiful and asked for his picture.
And he agreed!
so I got the picture, and walked away....then I went back and asked him to walk with me to a bar across town.
And he agreed!!
We walked and talked. He told me he had a cold, so while he may not go into the bar, he would walk with me. He's a cellist, and very calm and zen. I was over the moon. Have you ever experienced just meeting someone you always wanted to meet but you didn't know about yet? so we get to the bar, he enters, and then he says that he cannot stay. We look at each other awkwardly and then I suggest we do it again. He agrees, gives me his number and says he's going on tour for three weeks.
I call my girlfriend the next day OVER THE MOON about this random guy, and as I describe him, she starts describing him as well...turns out that the year before she met this amazing guy, and calls me int he middle of the night screaming, "Glamazon, I've met YOUR husband! Come meet him now!!" Twice she called about him...turns out it's the dude I met on the church steps.
So I call him in a month. By this time I've met other people, but still....I leave a message and never get a call back.
Now it's 9 months and a bad relationship later...and the church steps guy is back....Have you guys gone through something similar?And what would you do?
