overall best vaca ever, Morocco (GO GO GOOOO, zorbeet...it's beyond fabulous.): warm, hospitable, gorgeous, and very inexpensive.

we did the Imperial Cities: Marrakech, Rabat, Fes, and Meknes, with a day at Volubilis. effin fab.

I've only ever been to Norway, Sweden and Denmark

So I'll have to say Norway, even though it can be a little Cold (and I don't mean the weather...) now and then.

Second is Sweden- they have a prettier language, it's more soft and easier on the ears.
Mmm... Am I wrong, or did it just get fatter in here?

Hmmm...most places are pretty cool if you just take them for what they are and not expect them to be like home. That said, I love Italy, parts of UK, Spain, Sweden, Republic of Ireland, France is actually ok, although Paris is superior and the south of France is pretty tacky (lots of gold lamé and elasticized leather jackets with zippers on the men)...actually, I can't think of anywhere I've ever really hated, except maybe Georgia and Florida. Most of the US is pretty good, actually and sorry to all you Georgians and Floridians but man, I really have never met people quite like I've met there. Very special indeed.

***edit: and while Swedish is softer than the other Scandinavian languages, it still ranks pretty low on the 'nice language' scale. Danish is plain hideous...almost as bad as German.

    I like several countries:

    Italy (everything)
Thailand (never being there, but I hope next year)
    Japan (architecture)
    Mexico (landscapes)
    Greece (islands are the greatest)
    South Africa (landscapes)
    Argentina (landscapes)
    Brasil (culture)
    Rusia (impressive architecture)

    and many others

Never is too late to make a change.

Sadly, I've never had the opportunity to travel outside the US (though some might argue that some parts of the country feel like a whole other planet). I would LOVE to visit Ireland, looks so beautiful and full of alcohol and hot accents

I've barely seen any of Canada outside of the "Golden Horseshoe"
from Windsor to Toronto, but there are a lot of places worth seeing.
I liked Ottawa and Montreal -- lots of historic neighborhoods.

Japan is great, except the apartments are cold in winter.

Indonesia is the opposite of Japan -- the humid excitement of
poverty, a sea of people, unpredictability....

Which part of Japan have you been to ourman?

It's pretty hot and humid there in the summer I think but I haven't been to Indonesia so I don't know how they compare.

I'm from the snow country (Niigata) so we get tons and tons of snow (usually about 1m).

Scandinavia is nice. I love the fact that I can just drive for 2 hours, cross a bridge and be in another country.
