Uh, yes it is. It's a HUGE achievement.
Ok, maybe it can be considered an achievement, but I don't see it as a good thing. I don't think it is in anyone's best interest to overcome their sense of disgust over the idea of having sex with any stranger that promises to pay them.

ETA: Beeyotch and crumpet and Ravenna, I'm just having a spirited debate with you. I hope you don't take any of this personally!
Nope, not taking it personally. Your POV is interesting to me. I just think that women can do much MUCH better with themselves than selling their bodies.

    Agreed.

No doubt about that!! But... the sad reality is... a lot of the women who do end up turning tricks for a pimp don't realize that. Which is a whole other issue!

I want to know what's wrong with treating someone purely as a sexual object? I've treated men that way and I'm sure there are men who treated me that way. Why are we always going on and on about our value as women? I know my value and don't need anyone to validate it. Quite frankly, getting your rocks off with someone you don't give two shits about isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it can be pretty fun.

I agree with everything you've said, but the reality is that there will always be women and men who do this for whatever reasons, so shouldn't there be some laws and regulations in place to at least offer protection for both participants? It isn't called the world's oldest profession for nothing.

i agree i've treated a lot of men as pieces of meat and vice/versa it is human nature. we see a piece of meat we shall admire it and maybe even sample. if someone gets paid wth who cares. if it's my man i'm kicking his ass but that's just me why pay when you can get it for free lol

I agree with that. It's not practical at all to try to ban prostitution, so it's best to deal with the reality and do what can be done to prevent the spread of diseases, abuse of the prostitutes and so on.
