    thanks alice!

we decided on seeing the rockettes because there weren't really any other shows that we thought she would enjoy. we also booked the doubledecker bus tour with the add on of the empire state bldg/top of the rock ticket and a ticket to the statue of liberty or a boat tour around the island.

FYI, Liberty Island is in NJ, as is most of Ellis Island. Stop jacking our landmarks, NY!

the trip was a success! however, she has no desire to go back because there are too many people, too fast paced, etc. but she loved the fact that she got to experience it.

    we did the following:
-doubledecker bus tour (downtown loop and holiday lights tour)
-rockettes (revamped in the last few years and it was amazing)
    -top of the rock
-rockefeller center (tree and watched iceskating)
-macys (looked at windows and shopped)
-5th avenue (looked at windows and shopped)
    -times square

i would have liked to show her a few more things but it was in the 30s (really cold for us floridians...) and lightly snowing.

I was in NYC this past weekend, too. The crowd at Rockerfeller Ctr was nutz!! It was cold, even for a New Englander like me.

Hope Grandma had a good time.
