Europe? The EU now encompasses 25 countries.

If you could give more specific information to work with, we could give you some ideas.

For an Amercan.....I would advise avoiding the UK. Your US dollars are worth next to nothing against the UK pound sterling--and it's really not a very exciting destination. Mind the gap. The UK is outrageously expensive and the bang for your buck is minimal. Much like America but unbelievably expensive. Cold, and dank and full of......muslims. Meh.

I've been in a number of European countries and the UK sits at the botom of my places to visit.

    The top? Greece. I-love-Greece.

I love Greece!! Been there twice this year.

Went to the UK for Christmas last year and will never go back again. Yeah, minding the gap and staying out of your country....

But going back to Greece every chance I get!

I want to buy property there. Greece just rocks. England does not.

All of my Aussie talk it just over the top talk for fun. I would love to see the place actually. Plus y'all at least speak Ammuricuhn over there..even if ya do talk with them funny accents and all..

Actually Aussie history/settlement is not THAT different..settling on the east of a new continent..spreading out, annihilating native peoples.. it was all just done a little later, on a smaller scale, and in a little more isolation is all.

It's the land of my birth and I am very proud of my British heritage but living there leaves a lot to be desired I'm afraid. Sure it's "pretty" and "historical" and those are very good reasons to go and visit as a tourist but I'd never go back to live there. Sorry.

I agree that England is very little bang for the buck. I say go to Paris, Berlin or Rome -- but I also love Greece, can't wait to go to Vienna and Budapest this summer -- and want to go to Croatia/Black Sea.

Eurostar from St Pangras and in 2 hours in The heart of Paris.
At least 6 days there, train to Vercailles, one hour and half and hour to disney land.
Then it could be Artesia night train to Milan and way down,5 hours to Florence ,1 hour next to Rome. From there ,4 hours to Venice..
You could take night boat to Greece from Ancona.
Visit Athens ,Delphi and some ilands.
OR you can do Spain.Night train from Paris to Barcelona, then 5 hours to Madrit or go south to Sevilla..
While in Paris ,Go to Luxembourg, its 4 hours lovely train ride,i did it for a day, totally worth it.
Also 4 hours to Amsterdam from Gare du Nord main train station.
If you need any tips let me know,i ve done my own planning and i can help you with trains, prices and scedules.

My goodness Effie, thank you so much for coming up with all that!

Actually, I've always wanted to go to Australia, big-assed spiders and all. I hear it's beautiful. When I win the lottery, I'll be sure to visit.
