i don't think i've ever eaten poutine sober so i'm not really sure if i like it. but it sure tastes good when it's 3 am and you're drunk and you need greasy, salty food.

and i agree about men in montreal. hotness.

i studied in ottawa and honestly the best thing about it is that it's only an hour and a half away from montreal.

yeah, skating on the canal in -40 fucking weather is not my idea of fond childhood memories

Neither was forcibly cross country skiing down by Mooney's bay or dealing with the fricking OC transpo crap every day

    stupid ottawa!

things i like about ottawa: it's clean, the market, lots of nature and montreal only being 1.5 hours away.

yeah, barrymores is all right for concerts, babylon too. and bluesfest is decent some years.
    but it ain't no montreal.

awww come on, grimm! the beaver tails and hot chocolate made the cold bearable.
i'll have to add the glebe to the list. it's gotten a little yuppie of late but it was a fucking awesome neighbourhood to grow up in.
the market is nice, i second that. and the proximity to nature. but that's it.

Cross country skiing on the "mountain" in -40 is only worth it for the cheese fondue and red wine afterwards.

My nephew checked out the Uni in Ottawa too but quickly decided he'd die of boredom. Typical Government town. No soul.

At the moment it's Dalhousie in Halifax. Nova Scotia is about as far from his parents in BC as possible! LOL
