West Van is a very safe area, but we've had some pretty bad luck with thieves in the past -- lost everything, including furniture once, and other stuff another time, and I've had my car stolen twice, once on Christmas day. The Lower Mainland has a very high property/auto theft crime rate = junkie heaven.

I don't have a favourite but I love Russia, Ireland, Czech Republic, Romania and Britain's pretty damn cool too.
I don't mind New Zealand but I wouldn't want to live there. Costa Rica and Argentina aren't bad places either.
I've been to too many beautiful places and after awhile you forget and move on remembering the next.

I'd have to say Egypt, just for the history factor. Where'd you go in Italy butt? I'm half-planning a trip to Florence sometime in the next 1-2 years, just because I have to see the Uffizi before I die.

Greece. The islands I've been to are beautiful and I love all the ruins.

I would have to say Italy too. I stayed in Portofino, Florence, and this little town called Santa Margarita. It's the most beautiful place ever and I would love to go back.
I spent almost 30 minutes admiring the "David", you really get a sense of history when you're looking at a piece of art sculpted over 500 years ago by the hands of one of the greatest artists ever. The moment was truly magical for me. I love all things history and this was my favorite moment of that trip.
My second favorite would have to be Costa Rica, I spent a week touring the rain forest and studying conservation efforts.

I think two threads were merged.

^ Indeed. They were basically the same thing. There are a few more of them too, but merging too many can lead to chaos. One ancient thread merged with one new thread works well though.
