Cities that you like and dislike

I don't know how it would be to live in these cities, but here's my list. And pretty much any city is a boon for me, being from a rural area.

Love:
Paris -- lived there for a couple of months on a break during my college years, was a nanny. Also got to see lots of smaller cities like Orleans and the like on a weekend trip the parents were kind enough to orchestrate before I left. Love it probably because to date it's my one-and-only overseas trip.

Destin & Seagrove
Traverse City (love the UP but it is COLD there)

Dislike:
Odessa (the only city I've visited that I truly didn't like)

New Zealand is a truly beautiful country with a rich diversity of mountains, lakes, volcanic landscapes, sweeping beaches and lush forests. Paradise on Earth - seriously. And then you arrive at Palmerston North... I think the "planners" were 1950's Soviet bloc architects with shares in several concrete factories. It's the ugliest most soulless city Ive ever seen. Luckily we were only driving through.

Like most cities, it strongly depends on what part of the city or surrounding suburbs you live in and what you're looking for. Some places there would be oh hell no, while others are great. I'm not a city person, so I would suffocate even in the 'burbs anywhere.
