fox. and he was very cute. and not very scared of people at all, he seemed more curious.

this is north of la serena, about halfway between santiago and atacama. very dry coastal region. and from there we took a fisherman's boat to the humboldt penguin reserve which is on an island about 130km from the shore, and on to another island/nature reserve. both of these islands are uninhabited and it's forbidden to build anything there. you can camp but even then there is a quota and there can't be more than a certain number of people there at one time.

    wild donkeys:

dolphins! these would swim right by our boat on our way to the islands.

    sea lions and penguins:

    random pics:

the countryside in lautaro, about 6-7 hours south of santiago. that's a volcano in the background.

another moon shot, this time from an observatory in the elqui valley, about 6-7 hours north of santiago.

You could be a travel writer/photographer, your pics are great.

I like the cactus with tits

My favourite photo is this one, because it's dogs and it looks really cool

That was another favorite of mine too. Dogs' silhouetted frolicking on the beach.

    elqui valley:

    dam and reservoir:
the elqui valley is about 6-7 hours north of santiago. it's basically a valley/oasis in the middle of the rocky desert mountains. it's also where all the pisco distilleries are (mmmm) and also a lot of observatories. it's also a favourite hangout for hippies and new agey types because the 'energy' there is supposed to be special, or something.

I like the chickenwire people and sunset pics the best. Do you have a flickr? You can get some publicity from them. 2 of my photos from my first flickr account are used in city guides (free online ones).

    this christmas!
already have plane tickets. we're doing the w circuit in torres del paine and then flying down to chiloé and surrounding area. we're being lazy though, we're doing the w circuit but sleeping in refugios instead of camping so we don't have to lug all our camping gear around.

the ALMA. and as a science nerd i have to ask this. do you have pictures of your visits to the observatories? of the telescope itself, the antennas etc.?
