May be going to Texas in March or April for a vacation/relocation scouting. I'm planning on going to Dallas/Ft. Worth first, and then go down the road to San Antonio. Some quick questions:
I know that D/FW is not a "touristy" city per se, so I know I'll have to travel like a local so to speak. I'm interested in relocating to the area, so I'm taking a trip to get a feel for the place. What are some things you recommend to do there? I like museums, and I have heard that Ft. Worth has some good ones. What would be the ones you'd recommend?
What about Nightlife? I don't mind going to a club, but I'm more of a "Chill lounge" type of person. Any of those in the area?
Any good restaurants that aren't outrageously priced? Lower Greenville is where a lot of restaurants are, right?
As for San Antonio, yes, I know there is no basement in the Alamo , but I wanted to know if it is a guided tour or is it a self-guided one?
What are some cool things to do at the Riverwalk?
How long is the drive between D/FW and San Antonio?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
