    Default Making a budget for gas

    This section seemed the best place to ask questions about a gas budget.

    With dad gone, I have to come up with a budget for my new family of three. One of the things that I need to compute is how much money I'll need for gas over the next 10 months.

    I have an OLD car. I have computed the mileage from my home to each of the places I regularly go (work, hospital, grocery, gym, etc.).

    I'm not quite sure how much mileage per gallon my old American car gets. I'll figure that out.

    How much should I use for the price of gas per gallon when projecting for the next 10 months?

    How much is gas where you live? I now around here lowest is 1.62. How much does it take to fill up your car?

    Right now the cheapest I saw in my area was $1.79. Most expensive was $1.87. I have no idea what to expect in prices 6 months from now.
