    Default Underwater statues and sculptures

Sculptor Jason de Caires Taylor has created amazing underwater art in the shallow waters off the West Indies island of Grenada

Underwater objects appear 25 per cent larger and as a consequence they also appear closer. This sculpture is called The Lost Correspondent

The different angles and perspectives from which the sculptures can be viewed increase the unique experience

Un-Still life is a table featuring cement objects; a vase, bowl and fruit. Living coral builds layers onto the surface, so it is ever-changing

Vicissitudes comprises a circle of 26 life-size children, holding hands and facing outwards

Jason's first work, Grace Reef, was built in a bay hit by Hurricane Ivan

It comprises 16 statues, each cast from a local Grenadian woman

Not sure about this. That circle of kids is spooky.

I don't know. I think that some areas should be left untouched and the bottom of the ocean is one of those areas.

While I appreciate the artist's daring, I'm not a fan of this stuff being in the sea. I mean, can't we leave something in nature untouched?
