    Default NYC Holiday windows

I am taking my daughter and her friends to NYC for the day on 12/6. I know the tree lighting is on 12/3 so the Rockefeller Center will be fully decorated. When do the stores, Macy's, Bloomies, Barney's, etc. reveal their Holiday window displays? I can't find any dates on line and just hope they are up when we are there. We are planning to do the window walking tour. Thanks!

They'll be up by that date, no worries.

My grandmother used to always walk us to see them all, we always loved it.

Thanks Witchcurlgirl! That is what I was hoping for. I am as excited as the kids. We'll get into the city around 10am. I figure we will park at the Port Authority then take public trans down to Bloomies area. Then we walk from Bloomies to Barney's,FAO Schwartz and Bergdorf's. Then up 5th Ave to Sak's, Lord & Taylor, etc. We will stop at Rockelfeller Center along the way. We'll end at Macy's. Does that sound like a decent plan?

sounds good. when your up at Bloomingdales take the kids over to Serendipity for lunch and frozen hot chocolate, kids love it there and it's only about 2 or 3 blocks away. Or you can have lunch in FAO Schwarz right on the main floor.

I would love to have you join us. Meet me at the Port Authority at 10am. Bring an umbrella to poke people with since it will be so crowded

Serendipity sounds great! They want to go to Ellen's for dinner but we have already been there so many times and who knows where we will be on our walk when we decide to eat dinner. Hell Macy's has enough dining choices for everyone. My daughter is a shopper and can't believe there is a store that is 10 stories. It should be a fun day. I just hope the weather is good.

You can do Dylan's Candybar very easily on the way down to Serendipity. If you do go to Serendipity you should try to do the Tram as well. Its about two more avenues down straight from Serendipity. Take it at sunset. It costs a subway fare. Get on and take it over to Rooosevelt Island and then just sit and take it back over. Its a beautiful view of the city and great for kids.
