In Focus features the work of a photographer whose images speak to us here at T.
In her upcoming book “Far Too Close” (steidlMACK; Fall 2008), the Swedish-born shutterbug Martina Hoogland Ivanow photographs her subjects in all sorts of exotic landscapes from the Kola Peninsula in Russian Lapland to Tierra del Fuego on the southern tip of Argentina. Looking at these ethereal images, you’ll find yourself drifting off to a far away place wondering where exactly you are and how you got there. Bon voyage.

I'm open to everything. When you start to criticise the times you live in, your time is over. - Karl Lagerfeld
why is the horse wrapped in a tent?
I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
They are quite spooky. They look almost post-apocalyptic.
I find them very creepy also. A bit too dark and depressing.
Those pictures suck. There is all kinds of wrong going on there concerning the camera adjustments, probably it's done with purpose to achieve some kind of artistic "feel", but it's not working in my opinion.
The tent is probably protection from bugs and things like that.
these are strange photos, i dont believe they are art at all.
All the best,
