"The $209 million Maya Hotel located south of Cancun, slated to open in 2010. This pyramid-shaped hotel will float in the crystal clear Caribbean waters with the help of a new composite material, normally used in the defense industry, which is billed as six times lighter and ten times stronger than steel." If a hurricane like Wilma PASSES Can Cun as 2 years ago.... nothing will survive 320 km/h winds for 36 hours...
Looks like a modern day Loveboat.
Not so sure on the fact that its actually floating on water. Like another poster said, uh, they get hurricane's. BAD ONES. Can you imagine??
I think it looks kinda cool, but I don't think I could do it.
I would love to go there, it's seems to be no different than a boat really.
......except that it's plastic....er, "composite material".

As long as it could MOVE and get the hell away from hurricanes, and also not completely melt and give off tons of toxic fumes if there was a fire, it would be ok. Looks like it would be like being on a particularly spacious cruise ship.
Maybe it's just the crappy graphics, but it looks kind of dippy, like a newspaper hat.
^ it does look like a newspaper hat
