London calling
April is gonna be the month of my 6 days in London!!
I'd like to enjoy the city and, basically, I'd like to see its best features as much as possible. I'm not talking about special things, I'd just like to know what it feels like to be a London citizen.
Do you have places to suggest, things to do, vintage shops or famous houses and things like that to visit? I'm gonna make a plan and everyday has to be pretty exciting to me. PS: I am really a girlie's girl, so keep that in mind... :-)))))))))))))))))))
PS2: something for boys' boys would be cool too.

Shopping: Oxford Street and go to Harrods in South Kensington just for the experience.
Sights: Westminster Abbey, St Pauls Cathetdral, Tower of London, do a river Thames cruise, Houses of Parliament, London Eye (the big ferris wheel. Countless museums and galleries.
You have to decide what you want to do/see/experience. It's a great city (the underground train aka Tube is the way to get around) but it's not a cheap place to visit unfortunately.

Oooooh, thanks!!
I'd like to get a tattoo as a memory... I never had a tattoo before. Where could I go?
People really told me it's not a cheap city... one place I'd like to see is the Wax Museum... but I don't know if it's a waste of time and money.
I also know there are some shops owned by stars: I'd like to see them, just 4 the experience. And the rest will be easy to find since historical things are everywhere underlined on maps! Do you know any VIP's houses?

It's a good idea to plan before you go, I agree.
I really like the shops in Sloane Sq area...very posh!
Notting Hill is very purdy...more like a town really
Kensington has good museums and is a lovely very wealthy area.
Come visit me if you want

Wax museum is Madame Tussauds in Euston (north of city centre). Worth a visit. Tattoos, dunno. Probably Soho or Covent Garden area but I'd just pick somewhere that looks OK. As for shops owned by stars or their homes - forget it. You'd be looking some crappy Planet Hollywood franchise and there are no tours I'm aware of that drive you by the homes of stars like in Hollywood. Brits like to preserve their privacy.

Covent Garden is a brilliant place for oddity shopping. You should try and catch a show in the West End too!

Soho is also the red light district so be a little cautious and stick to the main thoroughfares.

Red light district - full of sex shops, hookers, drugs and other lowlife. It's not dangerous as such, but be aware.

Me too! It's ridiculous, but I have a better time at Tesco than at Chanel. Am I a weirdo?
