I drank so many martinis in NYC including knocking back 4 over brunch just before I got on the plane (1.00 pm flight) which made for probably the longest 22 hours of my life. After the vomiting stopped the hangover kicked in somewhere over the Pacific.

I can't remember if I talked about it in this thread but I was watching Silver Linings Playbook and when they were in the diner and Tiffany said thank you the waitress said "mmm hmmm" - so it wasn't my imagination! But she didn't say "mmm hmmm, sure" (pronounced shoooo-er) like every sales girl who ever served me in the US.

I was in NYC in 2007 and acted like I was a damn teenager in a liquor store. I drank saki bombs and some kind of drink with yager in it, which is disgusting. To this day, the smell of yager nauseates me. I was so ridiculously sick the next day. Something about the atmosphere made me do it, it wasn't my fault.

Yaeger's never sat well with me. Never got sick on it or anything. I tried a sip once in college and was so thoroughly disgusted I never tried it again.

I couldn't understand why everyone regarded it as the awesomest party drink.

I remember the drinks in Miami were crazy strong. Plus, with no real "last call" I would get smashed. Lordy!!

As for the soda thing, the only way I love soda is from a fountain. I like a little more carbonated water and a little less syrup. I think a fountain Coke is the only way to go

Are you talking about Jagermeister? I've had some of the best nights of my life on that stuff.

    Tastes like Nyquil.

It does! People say it tastes like licorice candy but I disagree. I like licorice. Jager's nasty. Jagermeister is right faithanne.

I got the same nasty medicinal taste when I've tried some digestifs. Like in Prague everyone loved this Becherovka stuff, tasted herby (maybe minty), I had one sip and hated it.

Gawd, I remember how weak cocktails were when I went to Toronto back in 2005. Blech...

But Canadian beer (from the mass production standpoint) is FAR superior in Canada. Gimme a Canadian sold Molson White over one I can buy in the states every day of the week and a couple of dozen times on weekends.
