Hey guys, the one less travelled again!
My parents fancy having a holiday and are inviting me along. I'm an only child, so this isn't too bizarre, even though I'm the grand old age of 24. Also "inviting me along" means "paying for accommodation", so you can see why I'm eager for that. We really love the States, but we've stuck to typical "touristy" places (not that any of those have been bad, far from it), but now we want to go somewhere a little bit different within the US - so I threw Denver into the mix. I've always wanted to visit Colorado, so it would be a dream come true for me.
I think they are both open to the idea, even though my Mum read something about Cougars/Snakes and managed to convince herself the entire State of Colorado is rife with ready-to-attack beasts. I would just like some help on what's a must-see/do when/if I'm there, and that way I can convince them it's the place to go! I have a few ideas and I don't think we're too averse to driving an hour in any direction from Denver (or taking the Metro etc.). I just don't want my Dad driving too much after his brain haemorrhage last year, as he gets a "funny" head if he drives too often/too long.
This is a big fat siren call to Greys as I know she lives in Colorado, and anyone else who has visited...help!
