It's not often that a photo causes an audible reaction, but these pictures of the world's largest swimming pool are most definitely whine-worthy.
We told you about this glorious man-made pool that sits on the grounds of the San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Chile last year, but when we stumbled upon new photos of this piece of perfection, we couldn't resist a revisit. So, for your mid-Monday blues, we offer this brief peek into paradise. Enjoy!

meh. i've been there, and it's a super cheesy family resort. we didn't actually stay there, i was with friends and we'd rented a house further up the coast and we stopped by out of curiosity, had to sneak in really since it's basically a gated vacation community type deal. some people have apartments there, the rest are time shares or hotel rooms and apartment hotels. it's also way more crowded than the pictures would lead you to believe.

I don't get it. What's the point of a large pool in front of an ocean? It would have made a hell of a beach if they just trucked in sand instead.

Yeah, why not walk a little farther and just go to the beach?

Yeah, that's confusing the fuck out of me, the beach is like right there.

And the shit involved in building a "pool" so close to the water like that, there's something just off.

I guess with a pool, there's no danger of sharks, I guess.

I am wondering if it's salt water, and also I suppose it's not heated.

It's Chile, the ocean is freeeeeeeezing cold, which is great for seafood, not so much for swimming in the ocean.
