Default Can anyone recommend a good hotel/resort in the Pensacola area?

My husband and I want to do a quick beach trip in the spring or early summer. We were thinking maybe Pensacola, FL area because it's far enough from our house to still feel like a vacation, but it's an easy drive that's not too long. My husband has been to Pensacola with his family, and I've never been.

When my husband and his family went, they generally stayed in "family oriented" hotels that catered to kids. I prefer a hotel that caters more to adults and won't be teeming with kids. Preferably with good dining options either in the hotel/resort itself or nearby.

Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have!

Go to the family resort with as many kids running around as possible. It will be good practice and a taste of things to come for the next 20 years or so.

Go to Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi instead! Great beach, fabulous rooms and roomservice to die for. Have breakfast on your balcony overlooking the gulf. Big people paradise. I love that place.

I love Pensacola, SB. It's got several good places to eat - Pensacola Fish House being one of the best, imo. The Fish House The shrimp and grits are kick ass.

Pensacola does have the Blue Angels and that's fun to see, but their show at home base isn't until sometime in July.

There's several nice hotels in Pensacola, but I usually end up staying in either Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, which is about 30 miles away just because I like the beaches better and they aren't quite so packed.
