Ha ha! I think that you & I might be the choir - I live on the english-Scottish boarder & you appear to live in Scotland. Now we just need some of the others to visit this thread....,

I've been camping at a bike event a couple of times at a little place called Moniave in Scotland, and the views in the surrounding area more than made up for the tent zipper being frozen shut on a morning. On one trip there I also went to the gold panning place in Wanlockhead and the views as we rode there were breathtaking. I'd love to revisit both those places, but I don't think it'll ever happen now.

I'd love to visit Scotland one day, it's on my list! Looks lovely!! I have a whole bunch of brochures but... finding the time, money and someone to travel with is hard.

Let's see...it's Kilchurn Castle in Loch Awe, I don't think it's the one used in the movie. But then, there are a bajillion of those bad boys around here My favourites are Sween, Carnasserie (near where I grew up, and right by a real bona-fide dream cairn! Cooool ), and Stalker. When I was little I wanted to get married in Eilean Donan.

Ah! You want to get married at the Highlander Castle! I must admit I checked out that option when I looked at it last night.

Hehe I honestly feel truly blessed to live here, I used to live in a very built-up urban area, so to head outside and see hills and sheep and standing stones all around is pretty amazing I'll have a pot brewing! And some shortbread too, just to complete the scottishness
edit: Nov, it's soooo beautiful, have you seen it in the flesh, so to speak? It's really eerie and beautiful.
