If you're 30, you've got plenty of time. Why are you all acting like you have to do it now or you won't be able to??? 35 is the age where it becomes more of an issue. And why don't you have health insurance?? Sort that out first.

Because my father in law is 73 and I want him to know my child, that's why I am rushing.

Ok, that's just not at all what I got from your posts:
I just wish I wasn't 30, that I was 21 again and still had another 10 years before I had to have one. haha
I want one because is it will be a piece of me and my husband. It's the only thing we haven't done. I just wish I still had a few more years to be selfish and spend all my money on ME.

Notice the "haha" beside the post. It was made in a light hearted "god, i don't want to get old and I want all my money for me" sorta tone. I think Litup, the person I was talking too, understood that.
There are several reasons why, the father in law being # 1, the age being # 2.

I understand you sweetie. We don't like brats. We would have liked to sow some more seeds but having a piece of us for our loved ones to enjoy and love is more important. Call it the mother bug or what. Yes, we enjoy "me" time but dangit if having a baby isn't something we want just as much.
I'm due in January.

Yes, I know. I'm so excited. DD has a darling little thing. Hope mine is that happy. Glad DD has insurance for her.
Why doesn't your job offer insurance Sweetie?

No, I hate it. I have already lost a client this week because of my attitude, that bank won't work with us anymore, I have had a thugged out client try to get shitty with me and I had to let her know that I am not your husband I will fight your crackhead ass back and I have to deal with an idiot 8 hours a day. I am really at my end. I need meds or a NEW job.

we pay 320 a month for my husband and i to have insurance. its a big bite out of his check, money isnt something we have a lot of. BUT, it sure helped us having that insurance when i became sick with Diabetic Ketoacidosis in April. i almost died. my bills came to almost 90,000 dollars. this is NOT counting the tests i've had to have done since then. and when i had cancer, i read somewhere, each chemo costs 15,000 dollars (not sure if thats true). i had 8 of them. i cant even imagine what we'd have done if we had to pay for it.

DD, how does your daughter have insurance but you and your husband don't?
Okay, now no yelling here. My husband and I went without insurance for over a year. The kids were covered but we weren't. We finally bought private insurance at the beginning of this year and there was never a question of a lapse of coverage, even after all that time. I hope you can get it settled soon..it is soooo scary to be uninsured, I know.

Why can't you get insurance through your husband's job? Don't tell me his doesn't offer it either. It's really freaking important to be covered, one big accident or unexpected diagnosis and you could be bankrupted. If you and your H aren't able to get coverage through either of your jobs, you CAN try to find a different job. The benefits that go along with a job is a huge part of what should be considered in agreeing to work somewhere.
