Default Study tips?

My school days are waaay beyond me, but I still have to take the odd course for licensing in my line of work. They're all correspondence, so you can imagine how that goes.

I have an exam next wednesday, and need to study. Spent all last night at emergency with my sister, cuz my nephew has some mystery illness. I'm exhausted, but have tomorrow off work to study, a hen party on saturday night, and a work function on Sunday afternoon which will probably go all evening.

That leaves me tomorrow, and Monday and Tuesday evening to study. Does anybody have any tips, tricks, vitamins, energy drink suggestions, etc. to get me through this?

The licensing exam that I have to take - everyone I know that has taken it has failed it the first time. I DO NOT want to fail it.

Your help is much appreciated!

Default Re: Study Tips?

Well, I guess it depends what kind of learner you are. For me, my brain needs me to write (not type) everything on flashcards. The actual process of me writing helps my brain remember certain words or phrases. Some people are auditory learners and might benefit from recording themselves.

I've never used energy drinks for studying-related things, but at work, if I need a brain recharge - I love Diet Rockstar, and Diet Red Bull. I don't like the calories the regular stuff have. Becareful of crashing though - it's not a good long term solution.

If you can, try to break away from your functions. I don't know what a hen party is, but if it were me, I could always party after I pass the test. If everyone fails it the first time, this probably would be a test that I would seriously reconsider my priorities. There will always be other parties and work functions.
