Note to self: Always remove the sex toys from the dishwasher before the maid comes over.

For me, dishwashers seem to be hit and miss. Sometimes, I will wash dishes in mine, and everything comes out great, super clean and I feel like they are almost sterilized in a way, due to the hot water. Other times, I'll wash dishes, and some (esp. glasses and mugs) will end up with a gritty residue that I need to scrub off manually. I usually use it only if I'm super busy, such as if I have a lot of other housework to do and I'll just let the dishes wash while I do my other stuff. Plus, I've heard using a dishwasher actually uses less water than handwashing dishes.

I do toothbrushes, sponges, back brushes (scrubbers), etc....not all at the same time mind you. Also put Josie's Kong's and other hard rubber toys in the dishwasher.

I will not put food in my dishwasher.

My MIL owns a supper club and they run the potatoes through the dishwasher (rinse only, no soap) twice to wash them before they are wrapped in foil and baked.
I personally think it's genious, I hate washing potatoes.

I have done potatoes in my dishwasher, but only on rinse. Peeling potatoes kinda grosses me out because they always seem so dirty, so I run them through on rinse before i peel them or before i bake them.

My mind went off in a completely different direction there and back to the office cleaner I knew... Are we talking pet toys here, or...?
