Does anyone know how to get ink off of leather?
My daughter just got a new Audi 3 days ago, and today her 5 year old son got a hold of a pen and wrote all over her back seat. We've tried so many things, but nothing has helped yet. Any ideas???

Re: Does anyone know how to get ink off of leather?
Ok I have used rubbing alcohol but dont use a lot. I had the same thing happen to a chair just a few months ago. I used the alcohol but made the mistake of using too much on one part of the ink marking. Dab Dab Dab. Good luck and let me know if she is able to get it out.
Was it a ball point pen or permant marker?

Rubbing alcohol mixed with dish detergent, 1/2 worked well for me on carpet stains...
you can try putting vaseline around the stain, so that whatever you use doesn't damage the rest of the leather? not sure if vaseline itself will damage it though

Re: Does anyone know how to get ink off of leather?
I had LV wallet (pink vernis) that I got a ballpoint pen ink on, I went to LV and asked if they could remove it but they said they couldn't...

Thanks for the quick replies. It was a ball point, and unfortunately, rubbing alcohol didnt work. I guess we will just have to keep experimenting, but am worried about damaging the leather

Do you know a car detailer or a taxi/limo driver? They often have weird tips for getting all kinds of stains off car seats (ew). I think you can buy proper Ballpoint Pen Remover stuff from the supermarket?

Your "ew" remark made me laugh
Just had to share that with you
Im sorry it didnt work. Yeah I was really not sure to use alcohol on my chair, thought it would discolor it and it did because I used too much to begin with.
Ill ask around and Ill have my husband ask the guys up at his work, he works for Saturn, who do the detailing/cleaning if they have any tricks.

Mix a little dishwasher detergent powder or laundry powder with warm water and scrub it out with a paper towel.
Our daughter pulled that move on the backseat of my H's new benz when she was two. I always give him credit for not totally "losing it".

My idea is don't get an Audi with leather seats if you have a 5 yr old.

Did you try baby wipes? They worked when my boys drew on my leather car seats.

I use hairspray for ink. Always used on fabric, haven't tried leather....
