Things to do on a plane
My flight to Mexico is going to be the longest I have ever been on and I don't know how I'm going to cope for so many hours. I'd love to just sleep but it's impossible for me to sleep on a plane, I just can't do it. I don't like drinking whilst flying either so passing out drunk is not an option.
Anyone got any good ideas of what I can do to make the time 'fly' BF could sleep on a washing line so some ideas may have to just involve poor old me *sigh*

Re: Things to do on a plane
I know but bf has said he's going to go straight to sleep. In other words - Don't bother me!!!
I'm gunna take my trusty mp3 player and a note pad so I can doodle and stuff. I SO wish I could take my laptop and have internet access, I'd be on here describing every little step of the flight, it'd be SO fun, for me anyway!!

Yes Haha
I love word searches and cross words. But I know I'd piss bf off with a word search, every other minute I'd be asking him for answers!

Do you not read Tiara? Even fashion magazines?? I usually just zone out and listen to my Ipod when I'm flying.

Re: Things to do on a plane
I usually take some stuff from work to do with good intentions of actually doing it. You know what they say about the road to hell . . .
I always end up reading some book I've had on the backburner for a while, though.

Re: Things to do on a plane
There’s no work that I can do in my job without a computer. Plus I'm on vacation so fuck work!!!
Ye Gator I do read, I'm gunna take Sharon Osbourne's autobiography but I won't be able to read for the whole flight, it makes me a bit dizzy, especially if there’s any turbulence! Last time I flew the turbulence was so bad I came on mid flight and I was nowhere near due on, it was weird.
Fashion magazines bore me to death. they're just full of, how to look like Posh, what to eat to look like a stick blah blah.... and theres just too many pictures, they're like chidren's books! I do like reading real life magazines though, they're quite funny sometimes

Re: Things to do on a plane
A couple of times on long flights I have found a few others and played cards on the floor where there is a litle room, like up in front. I wait until they are done serving meals so I don't get in the way of the cart, but it works, and gives you the chance to meet other people on the plane.

Re: Things to do on a plane
hahahaha Ye!!! But they're usually full of shit. Like the cover will say. 'Why I had to murder my child to save my own life' and it'll be something common like, the baby was growing wrong and in danger in the womb. Not that thats not tragic but they make it sound like the Mum axed the baby while it was sleeping or something!!!

Re: Things to do on a plane
Thats not the problem. I've been absolutely knackered on a plane before but I just can't get comfortable. I'm short so its not the leg room, its just the fact that I can't sleep up right in a chair. Especially the hard sided chairs on planes, I also feel rude putting my seat back in case the person behind me needs their tray or something, so I never do it!
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to try my best to nod off, atleast I'll have bf as a pillow. Oh thats another thing, I also get scared of falling asleep either with my mouth wide open, snoring, drooling etc. I'd be so embarrassed!

Re: Things to do on a plane
On the flight home to Japan, I drank 3 mini bottles of wine on the plane That sorta kept me busy and sleepy after drinking them all, hehe. Then on the way back, since I learned to crochet, I was making Elmo the scarf. By the way, I unravelled it for like the 3rd time now so back to the beginning. I'm a perfectionist in a weird way so I didn't want to miss a stich or have an extra in a row. At this rate, Elmo may never get to wear the scarf...
