I bet there are thousands on John Holmeses in the world.

I went to school with a "Peewee", a "Leggitha" and a "Naughtie Bals"

My father was a teacher in London in the 1970s, he tells the story of a girl who refused to put her full name on her exam paper, instead writing it as C. C. Lear - apparently when they informed her that she had to fill it out completely it turned out her name was Crystal Chanda Lear.

I was almost called Claire (clear) Glass until one of my parents noticed.

The funniest name I ever saw was on share certificates I was selling for a man named Anthony Tristaram Pine-Coffin.

Haha poor Chudney. It always makes me think of Ron Weasley's favourite quidditch team.

I used to do business with a man named Dick Cox. Our receptionist refused to say that and called him Richard hehe. To this day I call someone who's being a dick a Richard (at least in front of my kids)
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

My friend worked in the vital records office in SC. She said they had an elderly lady come in to request her birth certificate and her name was Female (pronounced Fe-ma-lie, like tamale) Brown. Apparently she was delivered by a midwife in the 1930's in rural SC to and the midwife put that on the birth certificate. Her parents just figured the midwife had named her so that called her Female.

I don't know too many people with unusual names. The only one I can think of is this lady whose parents wanted to name her after a male relative named Frederick, so they named her Fredericka.

I went to high school with Bing Cherry...he was cute, too. My best girlfriend in high school had a long first name and a long last name, with a middle name of Virginia. When she got her driver's liscense, it read First Name, Virgin, Last Name.
