So it's a mood dress?
I don't think it has anything to do with how good your eyesight is (I'm actually quite nearsighted), because that's a cornea thing.
The way we interpret color has to do with the rods and cones. Similarly to color blind people. It's not their eyesight (far vs near), but rather the rods and cones - or lack thereof.

I suppose I can see the white as almost a pale ice blue but the trim is deffo gold. Nowhere near black.
I have another weird cone/rod thing. If I fall asleep in a lit room and I suddenly wake up everything looks bright green! Only for a few seconds but it's very weird.

Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
For real, it's a dim light thing. I have only ever been able to see the damn dress as black and blue.....but now that I've moved to my bedroom where it's dim, that dress is definitely tan/gold and white. Clear as day. Wow. That's messed up.
And now I can very easily switch between seeing it blue/black or white/tan by adjusting the contrast on my iPad. It's blue/black on the darkest setting, white/tan at the brightest setting, and in the middle, I can make the dress apprea light blue with tan trim.
It's black and blue to me. I'm freaking out that people see otherwise.
See, Whores, we are good for something. Love, Florida
All I can see if white and gold and my husband can only see blue and black. It's freaking us out!
I've now seen the picture elsewhere, and I see white and gold....and then slowly but surely, I see blue and black again.
I saw white and gold, then looked away. When I looked back I saw blue and black. But the truth is:

Yall can't even tell me the dress isn't black

I've adjusted the brightness on my iPad and it goes from bright white and gold to dull white and gold - still no blue or black.

I at first saw white and gold, then it changed to blue and black, and sometimes, literally changed before my eyes. I have been creeped out on Facebook all evening. I have also been high all evening too. Goddamn it turned into Kim K.
Weirdest thread ever. To me it's a gold and white dress, but the camera white balance was not set correctly, giving it a bit of a blue tint which is most evident on the white parts.
White and gold only and that's it. I don't understand where people are getting the other colours.
What if Superman is psychotic and everyone can see that he's Clark Kent but they just play along not to set him off?
