My French teacher's name in grade eleven was Timothy Christmas. He and his wife had an adopted daughter and I don't have to tell you what they named her, do I? "Mary". That poor kid!

    El Shaquille
    wow...

Some of the worse ones I've encountered:

    Bummy
Jantosh (I always felt bad for him because everyone else in his family had normal names like "Mary" and "Dave")
    Jakira
    La Quinta
    Tootie
    Rainbeaux

I also knew a girl whose last name was "Heine" (pronounced Hiney). You can imagine how much she was teased in elementary school.

i'm all for weird names but they have to be non tacky/cheesy weird names. not trite 'meaningful' names like elella.
Is it pronounced El-Ella or El-Aya. If it's pronounced like it is in Spanish (El-Aya), then despite it's cheesiness it actually sounds quite pretty.

    El-Ella would be ridiculous though

My mom works in isnurance, and sees the new children's names that have to be entered into policies. the worst one she ever saw was a little girl named Copper Link.

I went to HS with a kid with the last name of Bunch. He named his son Brady. That's right, Brady Bunch. Were they not thinking??!?!?!
