    Overalls.
    Hair scrunchies.
    Crimped hair.
The 'mushroom cut'. My mother gave me this and it ruined my entire fifth grade experience. My boyfriend coincidentally broke up with me the day after I got it!

You kids. I liked my 90's clothes because I was a grown up! I had some chic outfits and awesome bags. The clothes were back to classics. I bought a pair of Prada chocolate brown suede high heeled Mary Janes. Had my first pony skin leopard belt, wore burgundy lipstick. You kids.

I'm with Chalet. I had some gorgeous work suits, shirt-waist dresses and delectable, bright colored, high heeled pumps from the 90's that I wish I had never given away. Even if there's no way I could fit into them ever again.

Ahhh..burgundy and black cherry lipstick...how I miss thee.

This was me. Plus a perm at one point, and a NKOTB obsession. In the latter years, it morphed into long-sleeved fitted bodysuits, Blossom hats, Doc Martens and chokers. Oh, and sometimes one of those long crocheted vests too.

I was all about matte foundation and lipstick in burgundy or red. I wore my cherry red doc boots with everything I wore babydoll dresses, tye-dyed slips over jeans, old man cardigans.

^Oh, the old man cardigans! I remember my girlfriend and I wearing ours on the Hottest. Day. Of. The. Year. Cuz we were cool like that...

I had a brown one with much shorter fringe but I had white fringed ankle boots that would have complimented nicely.

October 1995. I had moved from a smaller city where plaid was still the rage. I walked into my first day of Grade 9 in THE BIG CITY and was horrified, just horrified, to discover that plaid was over and it was all baby sized t shirts with angels on them that made all 14 year old girls look like Roman Polanksi's wet dream come true.

There must be a picture of me somewhere wearing said shirt with either way too high-waisted jeans or even better, docs, thigh highs and a plaid skirt. I'm not sure how I didn't end up molested.

I also wore the plaid skirts and thigh highs. Oh the shame...

    HAHAHA! Me too!!

I had a few perms, and made my bangs REALLY HIGH. When I think back, it looked like I walked into a wall.....
I also LOVED NKOTB. Saw them in concert twice. The second one was with Tiffany!!
That one was funny because they were suppose to open up for her, but because of all the yelling for NKOTB, she ended up going on first.

This is the only place on the internetz where I will admit to the above

    AWWWW YEAH!!

oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, hangin' tough!!!

grunge was a worldwide thing but in europe, rave culture was massive in the 90s and h&m sold a lot of 'techno-wear' like shiny vinyl pants in bright colours like electric blue. yes, shiny. vinyl.
and synthetic wooly/hairy vests that would probably catch on fire if you even looked at smoke.
my best friend and i used to get high and cut class and go try on the crazy clothes at h&m and take polaroids (yes, polaroids!) and i still have the ones of us in the vinyl pants. and no, i will not be posting them.
sigh, i miss 90s h&m. they had some crazy shit.
