I see what you mean. I guess what I'm thinking of is a lot of people that I know that are redneck ARE intentionally redneck but don't think of themselves as being "redneck." They're just intentionally fitting in with what's normal for them. To me, a true redneck wedding is one that is so redneck when it is trying to be earnest. Being redneck just for the sake of being redneck is just blah. (like LeMann's Halloween costume) It's like dressing up trashy intentionally and going to Wal-Mart just to get on the People of Wal-Mart site. And I just realized I've never typed the word redneck this much in my life and not it's starting to do that thing where a normal word starts looking and sounding completely weird.

This is true. Especially when trashy thinks it's classy and brags about it.

I dunno. I thought it was a bit cute. I like it a lot better than the father of the bride shotgun pictures.

Not awkward but pretty damn bridezilla-ish:

But she did say it was a childhood dream of hers to have one and she seemed so nice and sweet in her TV interview. But the groom is looking like a deer caught in headlights.

Yes and No. She's from Nigeria and building effigies for weddings seems to be a common practice there. She went to a wedding when she was a kid where a bride did something similar.

Only the "dress" is the cake. The body, arms, and head are made of polymer clay

The one with the red shawl there joined the forum a while back to tell us off for posting her pictures. Good times.
