Saw these today and they reminded me of this thread. I've deleted some duplicates. Love the last one.

    Edit:

Not really creepy but I got a good chuckle out of it

Sorry Seth, all I'm seeing is a message saying that hotlinking is forbidden.

Some of these are quaint in a bizarre way but the one about beating your wife is really horrifying. I'd like to actually find that "educational" booklet - I can't imagine what it could say. It's interesting to see through old ads and products offered what society really thought of women, not all that long ago.

I can't ever remember meeting a man who spanked his wife, thought she was the weaker sex or thought she belonged in the kitchen. Men who would be age appropriate for those times. I know they were out there and still are. The two oldest men I know are 80 and 90 - and they worshiped their wives. They knew their wives could do anything.

It's been in the movies many times over where the man condescends to the woman because he needed to take care of certain things. Lucy Ricardo got spanked and she couldn't balance her checkbook. I am kind of glad they didn't make Ricky a man that could be fooled.

I know it's not exactly related, but there was an infamous ad campaign by the Rolling Stones for their "Black and Blue" album where the ad showed a woman all bruised saying something like, "I'm black and blue from the Rolling Stones, but I like it!" When women's groups saw the ad, they complained and it was taken down. Supposedly, Mick Jagger commented, "F*ck'em if they can't take a joke."

Not that long ago? Google some Christian Domestic Discipline blogs. They seem to think its a husband's right to give the Mrs a spanking with a paddle or a hairbrush for displeasing him in any way.

Too funny. And any mother watching that instantly knew what not to get their daughter.

You better wash out your privates with Lysol, or your husband will install cartoon locks on the door.

Yeah, that one's ^^ a classic. Twitchy posted a series of those lysol ads on her somewhere. But that's the best one. Her husband locked her out of the bedroom because of her stanky cooch.
