    Great, Honey!

Growing up in California, and living in San Francisco for fifteen years, I've seen names you wouldn't believe I'll think about it and post some of them. Some are too self-revelatory so I'll have to be choosy

My husband's secretary long ago and far away had a baby girl she named 'True Destiny', whom she called Trudy. Trudy was cute...but True Destiny? *yack*

Interestingly enough, my six-yr-old's girlfriend is named 'Destiny' as well.

Oh, and I dated a boy VERY briefly in college who said if he had a daughter, he wanted to name her 'Memory.'

    What the hell?!

My dad used to laugh all the time about Ima Hogg and Ura Hogg - supposedly upper crust wealthy Texas girls from decades ago. I should look that up. I've seen it on the net somewhere a long time ago.

Edit: here it is Ima Hogg - Wikipedia

One of my oldest friends (as in years we've known one another) named her only child, a boy, Pax.

I knew a girl named Pepsi. Her mom loved Pepsi so much that she was going to name her baby Pepsi regardless of whether it was a boy or girl.

I went to school with a brother and 2 sisters: Prince, Pebbles, and Shanob.

    Other girls in school:

    Tiarrhea
    Carrie Hunt (switch the c & h )
    Cinnamon
    Robin Steele
    Kishen (or maybe spelled Kishin)
    Bun

My bf said his highschool principle was named Mike Hunt.

Mom went to school with a girl named Candy Apple.

There's a girl that works at the grocery store named Summer Snow-- I told her it was pretty and she said Snow was her married name, that it had just worked out that way.

One of my cousin-in-laws has a daughter named Abigail Arizona.

There's a little girl in my daughter's class named Quesha, pronounced like 'fuschia' with a Q.

Other (very unique!) names from my daughter's yearbook:

    Essence
    Sanoah
    Gi Juan
    Jazztin
    Autumin (like an ottoman?)
    Jazerah
    Nanpon (no lie! )
    Saquencia
    Machonna
    Je Vante
    Deontarious
    Quintavious
    Tykeiah
    El Shaquille
    Toyous
    Breunte'
    Ratayvius
    Olusegun
    Garrique

    Georgia.

When I lived there, my favorite thing to do on Sunday was to read the birth announcements.
