    Default Lysol... as feminine product?

These two ads from... the late 40's, I believe... advertising Lysol as a douche. News to me!

I don't think so!! This page kind of explains it: http://www.mum.org/Lysol48.htm

A friend of mine told me that they used to use it to kill sperm to prevent pregnancy, which that link also mentions. Crazy, huh? Here's another one: http://www.mum.org/lysol1.htm

I just bought this one at an antique store recently. It's Rita Hayworth for Chesterfield cigarettes.

Don't forget the Lysol douche ads, one from 1948 and one from 1920's. Yes, they're real.

Yeah... apparently if not used properly, it basically scorched your insides, too. Nice.

^^But at least you were clean and "fresh"-smelling for your hubby! Even if you were out of commission for the rest of your life.
