My very first crush was....
Bo Duke, from Dukes of Hazzard. He was so dreamy to my five year old self. I wrote my first hate mail around that age too. I was very distressed, when Luke and Bo, were replaced by their sub-par cousins.
Bo Duke (John Schneider) was one of my first crushes, too, along with Ricky Schroder and River Phoenix.. Bo Duke actually awakened certain feelings in me....
John will always be hot to me. I enjoyed him on Smallville...looking all rugged, manly and wise.
My crushes in order from 5 years old:
Several in teenagedom. Too many to type out!
RELIGION: Treat it like it's your genitalia. Don't show it off in public, and don't shove it down your children's throats.
I ran across Heathers on cable over the weekend. I'd still hit Christian Slater. Two times.
My crushes from about age 8:
Alan Osmond (June 22, 1949): oldest of the singing Osmond Brothers.
Then: was very active and athletic, had cute dimples and wavy hair. Something happened inside my little 8-year-old body whenever I saw him, but at that age I was still way too innocent to understand what that was
Now: has MS, looks like a fat pig (that started before he got ill) and on top of that is seriously balding.
I must have been 9 (1973) when Muhammad Ali (January 17, 1942) captured my heart. My dad was a fan and was watching a match of his and I joined in. In between rounds I could get a good look at his face. I thought he was gorgeous and became a fan as well. Not necessarily for the boxing, just for his gorgeousness
Then: that face, those poems, his overall entertaining personality. How he dared put the finger on America's ugly other side: racism. I loved and love him for it. Aside from that, although I didn't realize it yet back then, he was just about the most perfect physial specimen ever: gorgeous face, perfect height and build, perfect skin and skin tone. Sigh.
Now: my heart bleeds for the harsh fate that has hit Muhammad. He's less than a shadow of his former magnificent self. I never saw the documentary again in which a neurologist explained Ali does not have Parkinson's disease but Parkinson Syndrome and that he would have become ill even if he'd been a school teacher, only probably not at such a young age, and that his illness was not caused by boxing, but perhaps sped up a little.
When I was about 11, I first saw the BeeGees on TV singing Nights On Broadway. My pre-teen little heart fluttered at the sight (and sound) of the then still gorgeous Barry Gibb (September 1, 1946):
Then: he looked like a big pussycat, probably due to his beard and moustache. I never liked facial hair, but he needed it to make him look great. His face was unbelievable, as was his voice. I fell hard and it was different than my little girl crush on Alan.
Now: fat, bald, grey and suffering from rheumathoid arthritis and congenital heart problems. He's survived his 3 younger brothers. So, his life wasn't all fun but oh, dear: who could ever have thought gorgeous Barry would end up looking like this? How could somebody with 5 solid pounds of hair on his head (hehehe) almost lose it all? Ugh. Aging sucks.
At age 13 I fell for Paul Michael Glaser (March 25, 1943) when he played super cute and sexy cop Starsky in Starsky and Hutch:
Then: gorgeous, thick, curly hair, gorgeous bright blue eyes, a killer body and playing the part of man-boy Starsky; not the sharpest crayon in the box, but with hysterically funny scenes in the series.
Now: he's had a hard life. His first wife, daughter and son were hit by the HIV virus because his wife received contaminated blood after she hemmoraged during her first delivery. His daughter died age 7 in 1988, his wife in 1994 at age 47. He had worries about his HIV positive son, went through a divorce from his second wife after about 7 years of marriage and another daughter. Still, Glaser doesn't look too bad for a 71 year old guy.
Also at 13, a friend of mine and I caught the movie "Shampoo" on TV. I'd never heard of Warren Beatty (March 30, 1937) so I didn't know how old he was etc. We both fell madly in love/lust with him in that movie. I'm loyal, so I stuck with him and over the years saw more of his movies on TV and later in the theater. Yeah, I sure had good taste even at 13 hehehe.
Then (especially in that movie): tall, dark, handsome, sexy, cute, mesmerizing. Us 13 year old girls went all mushy when we discovered him. Aaah, I can still recall that feeling. Probably the first time I fell in actual lust, even more so than with Barry or Paul Michael.
Now: pot bellied, turkey-necked, SharPei wrinkle faced, balding....... Like I said: aging sucks. At least he still has his own teeth and his overall health.

Warren Beatty: actor, director, writer, producer.
Jan Michael Vincent was hot years ago!! Forgot about him. I feel in love with him watching the mini series The Winds of War. My 7th grade history made us watch that on tv and then we had to write a report. I was bummed about it at first, but Jan made it more interesting! lol
I also liked Shawn Cassidy as a young'un, too.
I totally was in love with Shawn too. Also, Leif Garrett. *sigh*
Meryl doesn't even try anymore. She just calls Lanvin and asks for curtains with a belt.~Bitter
Can we interest you in Leann Rimes? She has a nice little cadre of fans you'd probably enjoy.~ Pecan Pie
