^^^ I'm trying to imagine the thread for Marilyn's dress if GR existed back then.

I think it's sublime, I love the dress. Anybody know the designer?

Nice! I'm glad to hear it, I was afraid I was pissing people off with this stuff. I wish more people would add photos.

I am finding it harder to do a simple highlight/copy paste as so many websites are putting security on their pictures so that they won't transfer, I've already lost several pics in this thread. (I have no computer skills)

I never really thought of Amy as pretty but she has a nice profile.

I just got off the phone with my brother and I didn't know about this until he told me. He said he was watching an interview with Jaclyn Smith (Charlie's Angels) and there was a beautiful sculpture in her house and she said, "Oh, Farrah did that." I had no idea, so while we were still talking, I Googled for info about her. Farrah was trained in art at UT, and her mentor was a famous American artist named Charles Umlauf. Below is a photo of them working together - I love photos that give you a new perspective on someone, along with a new-found respect:

^She had something in common with the ex-queen of the Netherlands, then. Beatrix has created quite a few memorable sculptures, including of her sons.

I think that's the cutest Farrah ever looked. I love that shorts outfit. I had no idea she was so artistic, though.

Beatrix has barely changed after all these years.

Me, too. I love that the shot depicts a very low-maintenance version of her natural good looks.

The other thing that I kind of find striking is the irony of an artist who is every bit as good looking as the idealized models she is rendering.

OMG. I've just understood so much more about how I was dressed and how my hair was done in my childhood. This could literally have been a picture of me.... and my Dutch mother made my dresses herself.

Hahahaha - I've just remembered she made matching dresses for my sister - who was six years older. (What may be charming on a five or six year old... hahaha. I'm off to send her this photo and laugh.)
