Yeah. There was another mistake that night - I can't remember what now - but I thought "if I know these names and how to pronounce them, there is absolutely no excuse for a person in the frickin' industry to make that mistake."

I have a name that is often misprounounced and it drives me crazy. I don't always correct people but I think in this case it was appropriate and she handled it nicely.

it's not easy to pronouce and remember every persons name correctly. it's not a big deal, people do it all the time. who gives a rats ass about it... i get mine last name mispronounced all the time, it's hard for some people, but im not rude about it too correct them right away. i just laugh!!!!!!!!! who died and made her the queen of get my last name right, because im an actress.

Thank you. It was tacky and uncalled for, it just drew more attention to the fact it was pronounced incorrectly. I felt like Katherine was more upset that, God forbid, someone didn't know her name, rather than being upset that it was just said wrong.
Again, I just think at such an event, where most people knew what her name was and when it wasn't that far off to begin with, that she should have had some class and just kept going. That's just my opinion though.

now what are you going to do when you become a famous journalist, huh?! lol. I guess if they can pronounce Christiane Amanpour's name, and Rebecca Romijn's name right, they can get others right, no?!

I don't plan on becoming a famous journalist, but I feel everyone is human and makes mistakes, and someone that is so well-know should have just let it slide, instead of acting like a cunty little cry baby, just because her name was accidently said incorrectly. Like I said, it's wasn't THAT bad and we all knew who she was talking about. I just think Princess Crybaby got upset because she EXPECTS everyone to know who she is and exactly how to say it.

Again, just my opinion. Small stuff like this has just never ruffled my feathers.

With the understanding that yes, we do like each other (hee):

Sandra Oh is the ONLY actress on Grey's. Grey's is overrated. Katherine isn't talented---she's pretty and she emotes onscreen. Julia Roberts isn't talented either. Katherine is even worse than Julia. That's not acting.

Grey's is a soap, that's all it is--it's so ridiculous. I prefer the MadTV sendup of Grey's....it's spot-on, and generally better-acted.

Aida is BEYOND great. She is astonishing. You cannot compare the two. It's like comparing apples and.....I dunno....Cate Blanchett.

now you know how much i worship cate..lol

i guess we'll just have to differ. I think KH has talent. im the first to point out when someone doesn't even when im crazy about them. case in point. The woman in my Avi.

^And that's what makes the world go 'round.....

Seriously, though, I watched Grey's a few times and she was irksome before she became an "IT" girl. I don't care for her presence or her acting. Then she came to town to film a movie and she was HORRENDOUS. I have never seen such nastiness.....and believe me, I have had to deal with Big Egos. So not only was I not impressed with her from the get-go, her bitchiness and self-centeredness made me dislike her severely.

Honestly, I neither love her nor hate her. I will say, I didn't think she really deserved that Emmy to be truthful.

I'd have given it to Sandra Oh, before Katherine Heigl actually.

me too. and i don't mind heigl at all. i think she's a good actress. but she was not the best in her category. sandra oh deserved it more and aida turturro is amazing even though i haven't watched that much of the sopranos.

Lily, what exactly did she do? Was she rude to people, or did she expect everyone to fawn over her?
